Welcome to our cherished family home, a magnificent and monumental building that still boasts many authentic details. Once known as the prestigious 'Hotel Mont Joly,' this former 5-star hotel, built around 1900, is now a protected heritage site. Location

Nestled in the heart of Saint Gervais, our charming apartment offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Just a 3-minute stroll along a nearly flat route brings you to the vibrant market square. Enjoy breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Aravis mountain range from the comfort of your home. The ski lifts of the expansive Evasion Mont Blanc skiing area (479 km) are a mere 10-minute walk away, making it an ideal spot for winter sports enthusiasts. The Tramway Mont Blanc (TMB) station is right next door, providing easy access to various hiking trails, including the scenic route to the stunning waterfalls in the gorge and the renowned "Les Thermes de Saint Gervais."

Surroundings and Activities

Saint Gervais is a haven for outdoor lovers, offering a plethora of activities year-round. In winter, hit the slopes of Evasion Mont Blanc, accessible on foot or via the free shuttle bus that stops right at your doorstep every 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, explore the Les Houches ski area (171 km) via the Mont Blanc tramway adjacent to the building. Summer brings opportunities for cycling, climbing, and hiking. Take the Tramway Mont Blanc for a scenic ascent towards Mont Blanc, with various stops for delightful walks. Numerous trails start in Saint Gervais or nearby, featuring picturesque waterfalls, bridges, and family-friendly hut tours.

In the heart of Saint Gervais, you can leisurely explore the town, enjoy a drink, and dine at one of the many restaurants. Don't miss the Thursday market, where you can find an array of local products. The town also boasts a lovely swimming pool and an ice skating rink for your enjoyment.

Getting there with public transport

Traveling to our apartment is a breeze. There is a train from the airport of Geneva that arrives in Saint Gervais Le Fayet (line 3) for around 20 EUR, taking about 2 hours. You can also book a skibus like Alpybus for around 20 EUR, which takes about 55 minutes.

If you arrive at the train station of Saint Gervais les Fayet, you can take the skilift 'Le Valleen' (7/7 07.00-20.30h) directly to Saint Gervais for 2.50 EUR. From there, you can take a free minibus to our front door—just ask for the 'Le Mont Joly building'—or (flat) walk across the bridge to our building (600m in total). Another option from the train station is to walk to the thermal baths (10 minutes) and take the free elevator lift 'ascenseur des thermes' from there up (7/7 06.00-23.00h), which will bring you almost in front of our building.
